Patient Perseverance

Sometimes I find myself in situations where I feel like the world is coming down on me. Too much school work, family troubles, financial difficulty, health issues. The trials of life are endless and quite spontaneous. I always get sakina (tranquility, serenity) by remembering the words of God from the Holy Quran:
“O ye who believe! Seek help with patient perseverance and prayer, for God is with those who patiently persevere.” (2:153)
In times of trials and tribulations, I find guidance and reassurance in these words. I know that God loves me and will definitely bring me out of whatever the situation might be. I trust Him to bring good into my life but I need to be patient.
At times, it might seem that our troubles are too much for us and we cannot overcome them. Allah reassures us that,
“On no soul do we place a burden greater than it can bear….” (23:62)
No one can acquire a burden that his person cannot handle. Whether your burden be light or heavy, be reassured knowing that your creator knows your limits.
Also, it is important to pray! Prayer is very important. Prayer is the key to God. It is important to call on Him, to realize that we can find no leeway except by His will. To acknowledge that He is the only one that can alter our life, and bring us what we desire.
From my experience, prayer makes the patient perseverance very easy. Once, you set you eyes on God, everything seems exponentially better.
“Be not sad or afraid. Surely Allah is with us” (9:40)

"...I hope my Lord will guide me ever close than this to the right road (path)"
                                                                  (17:24)
